Primary Tap is a 45-minute class based on developing coordination, rhythm and style. Students will learn to count to the music, follow the beat and use the feet as a musical instrument.
This class often begins at the barre or center floor. Dancers work on basic tap steps while dancing together and creating rhythms as a group. Students often dance from one side of the room to the other, center floor or in a circle, practicing a combination of steps to make different sounds and rhythms.
Diversity follows the ADAPT Tap syllabus.
