Miss Christina

Miss Christina Bezuidenhout

Owner / Studio Director / Teacher

Miss Christina dreamed of opening her own dance studio since she began dancing at the age of 5. She has been teaching Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre and Drama for over 25 years.

She grew up training in Calgary, Alberta at Dance Spectrum Inc. and with The Young Canadians of the Calgary Stampede. She is trained in ADAPT Jazz, RAD Ballet and Al Gilbert Tap, completing all levels and examinations. Miss Christina has competed successfully as a dancer and teacher at many competitions across Canada. She has extensive knowledge of the competitive dance stream.

16th Season

Miss Christina holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Performance Studies from the University of Lethbridge. While in school, she danced, choreographed and performed in many productions throughout western Canada. She has performed at locations in Calgary such as the Maxbell Theatre, Jubilee Auditorium, Calgary Stampede and Calgary Children’s Festival, to name a few.

Miss. Christina has trained in Vancouver at Harbour Dance Center, in New York at Broadway Dance Center and in Los Angeles at The Edge Performing Arts Center and Millennium Dance Complex. She has also traveled and danced in Toronto, Orlando, Las Vegas and on Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. In 2013, 2016 and 2023, Miss Christina was proud to bring Diversity Dancers to perform in Disneyland, and in 2019 to perform on Broadway in New York City! Many of her students have gone on to pursue careers in the arts and attend prestigious post-secondary dance and theatre schools.

Miss Christina holds her ADAPT Syllabus Teacher Training certification and her Alexia Flexibility Module 1 certification. Miss. Christina is an active member of the Wild Rose Dance Arts Association. WRDAA is a non-profit organization which works towards enriching young Calgary dancers through yearly competitions, scholarships and providing other educational opportunities to studios and their students.

Miss Christina is always ecstatic to welcome new members to her dance family, and continues to support and encourage Diversity’s current and alumni students.
