Miss Shelby Rutten

Teacher

Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Miss Shelby started dancing at the age of four. Miss Shelby has trained in many different styles of dance such as Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Lyrical, Modern, and Hip Hop. Miss Shelby has completed her Advanced Exams with the ADAPT Syllabus in both Tap and Jazz and has completed her Advanced Foundations Exam with the Royal Academy of Dance. Miss Shelby trained at the University of Calgary in Jazz and Contemporary with various instructors from around the world.

Miss Shelby is a Registered Teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and educated in Progressing Ballet Technique. Miss Shelby has recently taken Dance Science and Pointe courses through the Royal Academy of Dance in Manchester, UK.

Miss Shelby has performed as a Young Canadian of the Calgary Stampede for four years. She has also performed in Mainstage, Dance Montage, and Dance at Night at the University of Calgary and Mpact: A Motions Affair.
Miss Shelby is always excited to inspire dancers as her teachers inspired her throughout the years.
