Dancing at Diversity Dance and Performing Arts pushes you to act maturely and responsibly, but also gives you confidence and the drive to pursue your goals. When I first started at Diversity I was shy and had trouble making friends. I was really nervous about my first class and I was scared that wasn’t going to be as good as other students. As time went on I started to open up and try new things, I made close friends and gained the courage to be myself. The staff at Diversity are kind and supportive and have never made me feel like I wasn’t good enough in my classes, which I think is really important when you’re learning something new. They are patient with everyone, and never single you out or make you feel inadequate. Dancing at Diversity has given me the courage to follow my dreams and the discipline to work hard for what I want. Somewhere in between the pliés and jetés, the people at Diversity became like a second family to me and I can’t imagine having danced anywhere else.
I realized once my daughter joined the competition team, that the dancers are learning skills that will benefit them throughout their lives. The teachers at Diversity work with the students to develop not only strong dance skills and but life skills. They are taught respect and professionalism. Performing in front of large groups, being a part of a team, learning acceptance and tolerance of others, are all skills that will enhance their lives as they grow. They are playing a part in the development of our children and their self-confidence and do it with such enthusiasm. The students are bonding friendships for life. The teachers are a group of professionals that are passionate about dance and performing. Watching my daughter perform with excitement and a smile on her face, warms my heart. She looks like she is meant to be there, so happy, having the time of her life.
I just wanted to share how great I find the online dance sessions. Not only is it a great opportunity to try different styles and affordable, but also my kids can try the classes and it’s great to see what times and styles work for them. All from the comfort and safety of our home, which makes the classes far more accessible for us as a family.
Diversity Teachers and Staff – thank you for consistently pushing Abigail to the next plateau with opportunities that awaken her own expectations and for molding Abigail with the love of dance into this beautiful human that she is – you are one of her champions!

My daughter loves taking classes at Diversity Dance studio. This place is always filled with energy. There are classes throughout the entire week so a lot of variety to choose from for everyone. The staff is professional, friendly, and accommodating.

Diversity is a warm welcoming dance studio where all students are treated equally no matter their age or danceability. Our children are entering their fourth season with the studio and have enjoyed a wide variety of dance classes including jazz, tap, ballet, musical theatre and hip hop. Being a part of the competition team has been such a positive experience for our daughter Paige. It has not only allowed her to grow as a dancer but has also taught her discipline and sportsmanship. We are proud to be a part of this amazing studio and look forward to many more seasons!
To Miss Christina and all the Staff at Diversity, I can’t tell you how happy we are since starting with your studio last year! When my 16 years old wanted to move forward with her dance we started looking for a studio and Diversity was a perfect fit. She was asked to join Team Diversity but having never done competitions before, we were not sure what to expect. What we found was a group of enthusiastic, talented and caring teachers who have encouraged her to grow in her dance as well as her confidence. You have also given her an amazing opportunity to apprentice with a beginner class and make some great friends. My youngest daughter started with Diversity this year and she has also enjoyed her experience so much that she is looking forward to coming back next year and trying Musical Theater! I have even taken a couple of Bollywood classes. So much fun! There is such a positive atmosphere at the studio that you can’t help but enjoy coming there.
Our daughter has been dancing at Diversity Dance for three years now in both Ballet and Jazz and has begun competitive dance this year in addition to recreational. We have watched her over the past few years develop a strong sense of confidence both on and off the stage as well as a passion for dance and music.
The instructors at Diversity are truly one of a kind – each brings their own element of love for dance into the studio making it both enjoyable and a solid learning environment for aspiring dancers of all ages. The staff is qualified and knowledgeable and keeps the lines of communication with parents open at all times including progress updates and suggestions/feedback.
The office also sends out monthly newsletters which include reminders about attire, dress rehearsals, etc. which is always helpful for busy parents! Having been at a couple of different dance studios prior to Diversity, there is no comparison with respect to Diversity’s studio spaces which have large windows and natural lighting and well-run dance programs. We have, and will continue to recommend Diversity as the best dance company in Calgary.
Our daughter has been dancing for 5 years previous at a couple of different dance studios prior to coming to Diversity Dance. We heard such good things about Diversity Dance studio that we decided to enroll her last year. I can tell you they didn’t disappoint. Our daughter has grown so much as a dancer and a respected person since she began. At Diversity Dance the staff were extremely welcoming when she first arrived and took an interest in her dancing skills. The staff not only teaches dance but also provides a place to excel in relationship building between the students and staff. My daughter is eager to be involved in all aspects of the studio and works hard for each and every performance. The staff are very supportive and passionate that students have a positive experience with each class, performance, coaching etc, which is unlike other studios. It is a pleasure to be part of the Diversity Dance Family.
Our older daughter has been dancing with Diversity for 4 years and our younger daughter was so excited to be old enough to begin “Small and Tall” classes this year. Every year, we have been impressed by the kindness, dedication, patience and enthusiasm that each teacher at Diversity shows with students and parents. It is a great feeling to know that not only will my daughters receive excellent instruction at Diversity but they will also leave each class feeling confident and excited for the next week. I have had 3 girls dancing at Diversity for the past few years. My girls really enjoy attending the dance classes and love all their teachers. What I think stands out most about the studio is the amazing customer service that Miss Christina and her staff give. We will be going to Diversity for many years to come!
My daughter, Keira, has been attending the studio for three seasons and has really enjoyed her experience at Diversity…she adores her teachers and loves dancing. There is good interaction between the teachers and the students…Keira’s flexibility continues to improve as she learns new dance moves in her classes. Great studio!
