Miss Mary Feng

Teacher

Miss Mary is a dance educator and choreographer with a strong foundation in both performance and pedagogy. She has trained extensively in jazz, tap, ballet, acro, contemporary, and lyrical, developing a versatile technical base and a deep understanding of movement, alignment, and performance quality across styles.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Dance with a concentration in Dance Pedagogy from the University of Calgary, where she studied movement education, choreography, performance, and instructional methodology. She is also certified in Acrobatic Arts Levels 1 and 2, with additional training in safe acro progressions, flexibility development, and strength-based conditioning for dancers.

Alongside her work in dance education, Miss Mary has developed a growing interest in rehabilitation, functional movement, and therapeutic approaches to physical development, with a focus on pursuing further studies in occupational therapy. This interest reflects her broader passion for helping individuals improve movement quality, confidence, and physical well-being through structured, supportive approaches.

Miss Mary has experience working with dancers of various ages and levels, with an emphasis on building strong technical foundations, consistency, and confidence. She values disciplined training, clear progressions, and the development of both performance quality and physical awareness.

She is committed to creating a structured and engaging learning environment where dancers are supported in their growth, challenged with purpose, and encouraged to develop both technical excellence and confidence. Miss Mary is pleased to be returning to Diversity Dance for another season and continuing to contribute to the growth of its dancers and community.
