Miss Anastasia

Miss Anastasia Kurakina

Teacher

Miss Anastasia started her dance journey at the age of four. She was led to Diversity Dance after her mom heard great reviews. Ever since joining Diversity Miss Anastasia has been able to form life-lasting friendships with her fellow teachers and dancers. From then on she explored multiple dance styles including, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Ballet, Contemporary and recently Tap. This led her to join our competitive team during her senior years. Miss Anastasia has also trained in Vancouver at Harbour Dance Centre alongside in Calgary at Decidedly Jazz.

Throughout her time at Diversity, Miss Anastasia was able to gather her own experience by becoming very involved in the studio's student teacher program. She has student taught multiple classes each year since 2019, gaining much experience and knowledge in working with younger dancers. In 2021, Miss Anastasia began working as a substitute teacher at the studio, gaining more time in the classroom and leading classes of her own. From tiny-tots to primary tap she has been able to bond with her students and inspire them to continue in their own dance journey.
