Miss Kate McDonald
Teacher
Kate McDonald began her dance journey at the age of eight in Nova Scotia, Canada, training at Stars of Tomorrow Dance Academy. At fifteen, she was accepted into the Joffrey Ballet Trainee Program in New York City, where she trained extensively in ballet, jazz, contemporary, and modern.
Seeking to further her ballet education, Kate returned to Canada to complete the graduate program at Alberta Ballet School. She then joined Madison Ballet, performing in both classical and contemporary works under the direction of J’a Malik. In addition to company work, she has collaborated with choreographers on project-based works, including Nijawwon Matthews in New York and Sebastian Eilers in Germany. Kate continued her career at the Alberta Ballet Company, where she performed a diverse repertoire of both classical and neoclassical ballets.
She is passionate about this beautiful art form and looks forward to continuing to share it with through teaching!
