Miss Leah Cameron
Teacher
Leah Cameron took her first dance class at 4 years old and immediately knew that she had found her passion!
After growing up dancing in a competitive studio, she graduated and began focusing on classical/contemporary styles of dance in training programs such as The Joffrey Ballet School in New York City and Pacific Dance Arts in Vancouver. She then moved to Toronto and danced professionally in a variety of styles for 8 years. In that time, she had the opportunity to dance for LMFAO, Jully Black, Prozzak, Much Music’s NML Best Dance Crew, The Marilyn Denis Show, and The Hot Pink Party in NYC, with special guests, Elton John and Sara Baraillese. She has performed with companies such as Canadian Pacific Ballet, Jasmyn Fyffe Dance, The Wolfpack Dance Team, and other freelance work. She was the Associate Choreographer and danced the lead role of Abigail in ‘Tales of a Cocktail’ premiering in July 2019, and was the Associate Choreographer for ‘Anatomy of a Dancer’ for the Toronto Fringe Festival 2018 – Winner of 2 Broadway World Awards. Leah was also nominated for Dancer of the Decade with Broadway World Awards in 2020.
Leah has found a strong passion for teaching dance for recreational, competitive and professional dancers for over 15 years across Canada, where many of her competitive students have gone on to be accepted in to prestigious training programs. She has been adjudicating for multiple dance competitions across Canada for the past 6 years as well, and is thrilled to be able to continue educating dancers and passing along her knowledge and passion for the art!
