Miss Christina first put on a pair of ballet shoes at age 3, in hopes of being just like her big sister! From the first moment she stepped into a dance class, Miss Christina knew she wanted to practice pointing her toes and doing fairy runs for many years to come! Over the years, she enrolled in several dance classes including ballet, jazz, musical theatre, lyrical, contemporary and even Ukrainian dance! Miss Christina fell in love with dance because of her inspiring teachers, the opportunity to perform on stage, and the friends she met along the way. Miss Christina is now fortunate enough to be teaching with many of her childhood dance friends at Diversity Dance and Performing Arts!
As a student, Miss Christina took every opportunity she could to develop her knowledge and technique in various styles of dance. She successfully completed her Advanced ADAPT jazz exam and her Advanced 2 Royal Academy of Dance vocational ballet exam both with high marks. Miss Christina also competed in numerous dance competitions and has received many awards to show her accomplishments. In addition to competitions and examinations, Miss Christina has enjoyed the various places she has been able to travel to with dance. Her most memorable performance abroad took place in Istanbul, Turkey.
Although performing is very important to Miss Christina, she realized her love of teaching when she began assistant teaching the little dancers at her studio.
Miss Christina joined the wonderful team of teachers at Diversity Dance and Performing Arts 9 years ago. This will now be Miss Christina’s 3rd season managing at Diversity’s north location in Beacon Heights. Miss Christina feels incredibly fortunate to share her love of dance with every student, from the time they are mini stars all the way until they are super stars! Being a teacher brings such joy into Miss Christina’s life and she looks forward to her 10th season with Diversity Dance and Performing Arts!
